Role: AWS Architect
Location : Remote
Duration: 12+ Months
Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate architectures of existing systems and software products to identify reuse and platforming opportunities as well as refactoring opportunities.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and assistance to the teams in the implementation of established architectures and designs.
- Mentor and coach architects and developers to ensure that architecture and requirements best practices are followed.
- Establish and enforce quality standards for cloud software architectures.
- Drive high priority customer initiatives on AWS in collaboration with customers and sales team.
- The role is a technical, customer facing role that is accountable for the end-to-end customer cloud deployment experience.
- Own the AWS technical customer engagement including developing the architectural design on specific implementation projects and/or Proofs of Concepts, and Cloud solution architecture components of customer facing contract bid responses.
- Assess AWS footprint readiness for activities deployment

- LIFELONG LEARNER, technology changes constantly so it's important you have the right attitude and have a proven track record to adapting to change
- Hands on experience with Terraform on AWS, working with multiple providers
- 8+ years of design, implementation, and/or consulting experience with distributed applications or systems architecture
- 5+ years of experience with infrastructure/application architecture, database architecture and networking
- 3+ years relevant experience in technology/software consulting
- Strong skills in AWS services across compute, network, and storage.
- Strong skills in micro-services architectures, container orchestration platforms and DevOps and CI/CD
- Infrastructure as Code using tools and technologies like Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, etc.
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, technical conferences, and development teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to connect with multiple internal and client stakeholders
- Ability to mentor colleagues on the latest cloud concepts and architectures.
- Demonstrated ability to continuously adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
- Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional.
