Job Requirements:
- Responsible for developing and executing deployment packages for deploying, automating, monitoring and supporting high-availability Linux-based servers and applications in cloud/VM hosted environments
- Possess Windows Administration experience
- Design and develop parallel computing algorithms
- Have Experience in designing, deploying, or operating storage infrastructure in an AWS cloud environment & on premises
- Work collaboratively with operations and engineering in new system design, process improvement, and resolving complex technical problems.
- Perform backup, file replications and script management for servers.
- Recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications & equipment.
- Own problem resolution, facilitate discussions and provide status updates during critical situation outages.
- Troubleshooting and resolution of Data Center infrastructure problems.
- Participate in problem management and root cause analysis Update and maintain Data Center processes, change management, daily operations, outage and emergency processes
Required:
- Min 5+ experience in the following in HPC and AWS:
- Deep Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS
- Good understanding of HPC Job schedulers such as UGE, LSF or Slurm
- Good understanding of Linux Operating Systems such as RHEL, Ubuntu
- Good command over scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, Python or R
- Possess experience in monitoring tools such a Nagios, etc
- Configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet
- Storage technologies, especially Isilon OneFS, NFS, GPFS and SMB
- Experience with profiling and debugging tools
- Experience with monitoring platforms such as Nagios or Icinga
- Good understanding of Linux Networking and Security
- Good understanding of fundamental AWS services such as IAM, EC2 and S3/Glacier
Education:
- Bachelor's degree
- Master's degree
