Location : Long Beach, CA (Remote)
Duration : Full Time
Rate: DOE on C2C
Required skills and experience:
· A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and related experience is required.
· Possess 5 - 7 years of experience implementing and maintaining cloud solutions, preferably on AWS.
· Must be cloud certified, preferably AWS devops professional
General Skills:
· Industry knowledge in Higher education preferred.
· Broad understanding of CI/CD, Code Coverage, Unit Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, Source Code Control Versioning, Code Automation, Code Branching.
· The ability to develop and communicate Data Lakehouse goals, objectives and status is essential, both orally and in writing concisely and thoughtfully.
· Demonstrated experience with complex, multifaceted projects required.
· Ability to prioritize conflicting needs; handle matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures without supervision is required.
· Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
Technical Skills
· Understanding of cloud, preferably AWS, required.
· Experience in AWS Step Functions for Code Automation, Apache Airflow for Job Scheduling, AWS Cloud Formation for resource orchestration, AWS Code Deploy for resource configuration preferred, AWS Code Commit/ Git for Source Code Versioning.
· Understanding of Spark (Python) required.
· Experience with logical modeling, logical to physical model rationalization, and analysis of supporting business requirements required.
· Experience providing production support and meeting Operating Level Agreements (OLAs) required.
· Working knowledge of storage, network, server, data integration, security, and application design principles is essential.
· In-depth experience with developing scripts and procedures, especially bash required.
· Experience with AWS tools such as EMR, Glue, EC2, IAM/VPC, Redshift required.
· The ability to translate business requirements into data and application architectures is required.
