.NET Developer
12 Months Contract
100% Remote
We are looking for self-starting full stack .NET developers that want to create an impact and solve tough problems. Develop cutting edge web app technology on our Azure based platform using the latest software technologies. This position is remote so you can from anywhere in the United States and will be working with a well-established and stable company that still has a start up feel. Candidates must be authorized to work and located in the United States.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with the full software design life cycle including basic Scrum/Agile approaches to software development. They should have experience in designing, coding, testing, and consistently managing applications. They should be comfortable coding in a .NET/SQL Server/Azure stack and have an ability to write unit tests as well as test their code in order to maintain high quality software. Application design / architecture experience is highly desired.
Experience in healthcare, specifically in the benefits space, is a huge bonus for all candidates.
Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and manage various applications
- Create unit tests for all code created or updated
- Collaborate with engineering team and product team to establish best products
- Develop automated tests and conduct performance tuning
- Senior candidates are expected to provide guidance and mentorship to more junior engineers
- Have fun writing cool code
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field
- 4+ years of experience working with .NET in a full stack environment or relevant experiences
- Experience developing web-based applications in C#, .NET Core, HTML, JavaScript, Blazor
- Experience working with MS SQL Server and MySQL Knowledge of practices and procedures for full software design life cycle
- Experience working in agile development environment
For benefits experience screening questions, here are some things that I'd expect to hear mentioned when candidates discuss their experience working in the benefits space. Note that this is by no means an exhaustive list but an attempt to hit on some of the high points:
- Enrollment processing/management
- Benefits related payroll
- Benefits related EDI / Data exchange (834, 2010, etc. files)
- Claims processing/management
- Benefit Administration (benadmin) experience
- HR support tools
- Evidence of insurability (EOI) integrations
- Voluntary benefits (VB) experience (Life, Supp Life, AD&D, etc.)
We would like to avoid people only with property and casualty experience – companies like Allstate, Farmers, The General, etc.
