Position: Backend Java Developer

100 Percent Remote Work from Home

12+ Months Long Term Contract

In this Senior Backend SW Engineer role, you will develop key elements of the infrastructure for our client's new electrified fleet. What you get to do in this role:

Collaborate with PM and developers to design and develop new microservices for both our EP1 and EV600 products
Build and deploy services that will help solve some of the most challenging transportation problems today
Work cross-functionally with QA and DevOps to coordinate and ensure good test coverage and correct deployment planning
Build, maintain and improve current backend services infrastructure
Explore new technologies and enrich our technological stack
Actively participate in technical discussions and deep dives with the Architectural group

Additional Job Description

Qualifications:

7+ years of hands-on backend software development in one of the JVM languages Java/Scala/Kotlin + Spring Boot (must have to experience in developing code from scratch)
Strong CS fundamentals, including OO concepts, data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems
Experience with at least one of the public cloud providers Azure, AWS, GCP
Relational DBs, like Postgres, MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle
NoSQL databases like Cosmos DB, DynamoDB, Bigtable, HBase, Cassandra
Hibernate or other ORM frameworks
Docker, Kubernetes, Serverless, CloudFormation
Experience with IoT stack is a big plus
Git and source control management tools such as Bitbucket, GitHub
BS/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science/Engineering preferred
