Job Description:
Required Qualifications
· 5+ years' experience using BI tools (i.e. Tableau, Alteryx, Qlik, Power BI, IBM, etc.) to create interactive dashboards and reports
· Minimum of 2 years of Power BI experience
· Minimum of 2 years of Power Apps experience
· Strong understanding of Power BI (both Power BI Desktop and Service)
· Fluency writing DAX Measures and Calculated Columns
· Data Preparation: Fluency using Power Query and writing SQL queries for data preparation
· Data Modeling: Relationships and DAX formulae across 15+ tables data models
· Data Visualization Skills: being able to quickly provide meaningful insights from data, and apply best practices at reporting
· Documenting all Power BI new and already existing assets, processes and procedures
· Good applied statistic skills, statistical methods, analysis techniques and general mathematics knowledgeability
Preferred qualifications
· Understanding of common data warehousing methodology and architecture (Star Schema)
· Experience with SQL and writing complex SQL queries
· Experience with M Language for Power Query
· Experience with Power BI Paginated Report Builder
Responsibilities
· Identify Power BI reporting requirements by interviewing users, analyzing department applications, programming and operations, evaluate existing reports and create new reports
· Identify Power App requirements by interviewing users, analyzing department applications, programming and operations, evaluate existing reports and create new reports
· Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis related to operations, workflow, processes and other business-related issues with Power BI. Use this information to promote data-driven decisions and better reporting practices
· Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing Power BI reports and other Power BI tools
· Create new reports while proactively proposing specifications and workflows, recommending best practices and planning on deployment
· Contribute to team effort by accomplishing assignments and prioritizing tasks effectively
