Title - Sr. Software Engineer, Web Tools Technology & Engineering
Responsibilities Summary - looking for a senior level engineer to join Web Tools development team. The Web Tools team is responsible for the development, iteration and maintenance of web applications that offer rich, visual, and intuitive experience for Production Users.
Responsibilities
● Collaborate with UX, Engineering, and Production on the development of web-based front end solutions
● Engage with fellow developers through active participation in code reviews, design discussions, demos, proposals, and rapid prototyping
● Dedication to an iterative development process driven by the goal to continuously improve the user experience across all types of production workflows
● Develop clean, maintainable, and documented solutions
● Collaborate with backend engineering teams through traces, metrics, and requirements to inform development priorities and to focus performance related development
● Deploy applications regularly adhering to studio standards and best practices
● Participate in requirements gathering to inform design and development
● Participate in user observation studies to be regularly evaluating how users work and identifying where improvements can be made
● Follow standard UX design methodologies throughout the development process
Qualifications/Requirements
● Expert programming experience in JavaScript, HTML and CSS
● Proficiency in modern web application features,design goals, and architecture (i.e. Web Components, Responsive Design, and Progressive Applications)
● Expertise with modern frameworks, standards, technologies used in front end web development (i.e. React, Redux, Polymer, Angular, Vue)
● Experience with micro-services architecture
● Strong communication, collaboration, and problem solving skills
Desired Characteristics
● Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or work experience in a related field
● Experience working closely with UX design teams and backend development teams
● Experience with testing frameworks (i.e. Cypress)
● Production experience in computer animation, visual effects, or game industry
● A portfolio of user interface samples that demonstrates skill and passion
● Experience with Node.js, Express, and building JS modules using technologies such as NPM
