Title: Java Developer
Location: Long Island City, NY
Job Type: 24 Months Long Term Contract
Working hours are 7hrs/day i.e., 35hrs/Week.
Note:: Candidate should be willing to work Onsite
Specifically, the Disease Surveillance JAVA Developer will:
• Process COVID-19 related change controls for JAVA systems following applicable procedures and document changes in an electronic repository.
• Modify and develop JAVA code for various JAVA applications to meet the business needs.
• Work with a Database Administrator to performance tune the existing SQL database objects.
• Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts, software architects, and IT professionals to implement practical solutions. • Ensure that all solutions are lightweight, scalable, and built to a high level of quality.
• Ensure security is being factored into each step of the software development process for various systems.
• Create estimates on time and effort to complete assignments based on end-user requirements.
• Design and develop new solutions utilizing Web Services.
• Configure application features using design and configuration tools.
• Provide scripting support to resolve existing issues and implement new features.
• Coordinate user training for new features.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Minimum of four (4) years of strong, hands-on Java, JSP, Struts, Apache Tomcat, JavaScript, with strong knowledge of Object-Oriented principles.
• Minimum of five (5) years of Microsoft SQL server experience with strong knowledge of relational database principals, normalization, functions, and stored procedures.
