Complete Description:

DOEE needs a (Senior) QuickBase Database Application Specialist to perform in a LEAD-Safe Healthy Homes QuickBase DB environment for the Lead-Base Badges. This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of a suite of applications provided by Commercial off the shelf (COTS) Intuit QuickBase software application within an enterprise network environment. The position will also support the development team by augmenting the configuration of the QuickBase applications to meet the customer's requirements, within a faced paced, dynamic, enterprise environment. The candidate will manage production services and provide support while meeting the customer's expectations.

 

This person must be able to work under pressure, team player, have good communication verbal and written skills, works well with others, speak fluent English, be punctual on time, deliver the task as requested, provide and have great customer service skills.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Designs develop, enhance, debugs, and implement software. Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications.
  2. Research, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements. Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
  3. Writes complex formulas in QuickBase, Excel, or other data management systems.
  4. Analyzes program objectives and requirements to determine optimal approaches to designing, creating, and modifying data management systems.
  5. Analyzes and proposes data management system solutions to address challenges related to the administration, operation, and implementation of programs.
  6. Obtains requirements from and implements data system solutions for programs related to DOEE QuickBase Application
  7. Develop a new lead-based paint certification Quick Base application to replace the old Badges Quick Base database. The database will include a payment mechanism.
  8. Assist with enhancing current Quick Base applications/tables with additional management and inspector tools such as forms and dashboards.
  9. Designs and runs reports that draw information from data management systems
  10. Assists in or lead troubleshooting efforts pertaining to the quality control and user interface of data management systems
  11. Assists in managing internal and external relationships to effectively prioritize program resources
  12. Coordinates IT project management, engineering, maintenance, QA, and risk management.
  13. Plans, coordinates, and monitors project activities.
  14. 12.. Develops technical applications to support users.
  15. Develops, implements maintains and enforces documented standards and procedures for the design, development, installation, modification, and documentation of assigned systems.
  16. Provides training for system products and procedures.
  17. Performs application upgrades.
  18. Performs monitoring, maintenance, or reporting on real-time databases, real-time network and serial data communications, and real-time graphics and logic applications.
  19. Troubleshoots problems.
  20. Ensures project lifecycle follows District standards and procedures.
  21. Consults with project teams and end-users to identify application requirements.
  22. Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
  23. Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
  24. Instructs assigns, directs, and checks the work of other software developers on the development team.
  25. Participates in the development of software user manuals.
  26. Create and document all development processes in a QuickBase database for agency reference.
  27. Recommends information assurance/security solutions to support customers' requirements.
  28. Establishes and satisfies information assurance and security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands
  29. Performs vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements         :

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience

11-15 years of experience. Undertakes database maintenance, development, and modification in coordination with the database team and with programs served by the database.
