Senior Application Developer (Liferay) -Direct Client Need
Duration: 6+ months contract
Location: 100% remote, however, we will not consider candidates that are currently outside of the U.S.

Job Description Summary
As a Senior Application Developer, you will partner with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test and implement features and code. You will also help end users understand application features to accomplish their business goals and partner with Database and Middleware Administrators to achieve great application performance.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related field of study; or equivalent work experience
· Minimum 7 years of software development experience
· 4 years of experience with Liferay DXP
· 2 years of experience with Angular or mobile development
· Experience with JSON, AJAX, SOA implementations, Rest/SOAP-based Web Services, JUnit, Jenkins, and Bitbucket
· Practical expertise in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including Waterfall and Agile/SCRUM
· Understanding of data modeling concepts
· Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
· The Senior Application Developer will demonstrate advanced skills while coaching and mentoring less senior team members
Preferred Experience:
· Minimum 8 years of software development experience
· Minimum 8 years of experience using web servers, applications servers, and RDBMS
· 2 years experience with Spring Boot
· Experience with JSON, AJAX, SOA, Rest/SOAP-based Web Services, JUnit, Jenkins, and Bitbucket
· Experience in API security, analytics, throttling, caching, logging, request and response modifications, etc.
· Experience in creating REST API documentation using Swagger and RAML or similar tools desirable
· Experienced with Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
· Knowledge of SQL procedures and functions, and complex SQL Queries
· Financial services industry experience
