Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for designing, coding and building a standalone program running on a Unix/Windows machine that will extract data using a REST API to be transformed and used by other cloud based applications such as Tableau and ServiceNow
Support solution development throughout the entire lifecycle, guided by DevSecOps methods - to include requirements, design, coding, testing and deployment.
Support Database design (data architecture)
Perform database integration via SQL
Design, build and deploy API to be used by other applications to extract data from database repository.
Scheduling Jobs for data extractions or designing and building real-time or near real-time data pulls.
Integrate applications with Tableau and ServiceNow by building an API to service those clients.
Transform data from one format to another.
Build relationships between various data elements and document types.
Utilize SAP Ariba REST API to extract data for various document types.
Gather requirements for reporting and build reports using the extracted data in Tableau
Minimum Basic Requirements & Preferred Qualifications:
Skilled in Java programming for enterprises with security and encryption in mind
Experience in Restful services
Experience in Jira to support configuration management in an Agile environment
Experience with additional modern programming languages (Node.JS, Python, Ruby, Go, C#) and/or C++
Experience in UNIX/LINUX shell scripting.
Must be aware of various encryption technologies
Experience in Agile/DevSecOps development methodology
Experience in Oracle RDBMS, PL/SQL, and SQL*Plus
Proven track record as a self-learner keeping current with the latest techniques to include automated code scanning, automated testing, and CI/CD concepts
