Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
12 Months Contract
Remote now later onsite at Plano or Atlanta
Looking for 4 plus years' experience
Job Description
Responsibilities:
§ Evaluate user stories and test scenario and come up with recommended automation candidates
§ Evaluate team backlog and finalize automation test scenarios for the program iteration
§ Leverage automation in Scrum to ensure delivery readiness to higher environments such as E2E, UAT and Production
§ Work across different application and integrated automations scripts to create E2E flows
§ Develop modular and reusable automated scripts to automate E2E business scenarios
§ Report total test coverage and automated test coverage in respects to feature/product/code
§ Integrate automated tests with current continuous integration systems and add on as necessary, Reporting test results with builds and on demand.
§ Enable automation execution for all new builds and hotfixes through continuous testing process
§ Represent automation viewpoint requirements grooming, PI Planning, Iteration planning, retrospective etc.
§ Provide technical guidance for automating enterprise level scenario
§ Support execution for UAT, performance and production deployments
§ Builds Valuable Customer Relationships
Technical Skills
§ 3-4 years' experience as a SDET for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
§ Experience in automating user storiesacross multiple agile release trains
§ Experience with executing unattended automation test as part of continuous integration pipeline with CI Tools such as Jenkins
§ Experience working with distributed source control tools such as GIT
§ 5 + years' experience in automation test development with market leading automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Test NG and UFT
§ 2-3 yrs. programing experience in JAVA (preferred), Python, Groovy etc.
§ Working with BDD and TDD
- Good understanding of concepts and tools around Web API services (SOAP, RESTful API, Swagger), Microservices
§ Expertise in automating webservices in tools such as SOAP UI, SOATEST, RESTAssured, POSTMAN
§ Working knowledge of Atlassian tools such as JIRA, JIRA Align
§ Good knowledge in UNIX and SQL
§ Working knowledge of containers and pods and their platform management likeOpenshift, Amazon EKS.
§ Knowledge on cloud services such as AWS or Azure would be added advantage.
- Skills to develop tool that will help boost efficiency
Other Skills
§ Maintain a pulse on emerging technologies, experiment, and drive innovations
§ Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving
§ Continuous Improvement and big picture mindset
§ Knowledge of the Agile practices such as Kanban, Lean, SAFe, etc
§ Experience with white box testing using JUNIT
