Job Title - Java Backend Engineer

Job Location – Santa Clara , CA

Duration: 12+ months

 

• Work with the team and Product Owner to understand product requirements and design application functionality.
• Work with User Experience Designers to design and enhance the user interfaces for supported applications, maintaining responsive designs that smoothly resize for different devices and browser sizes.
• Lead frontend development for supported applications using Angular, HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
• Create and maintain unit test cases meeting the required code coverage thresholds.
• Maintain automated deployment pipelines for frontend modules.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of system documentation.
• Work closely with clients and cross-functional departments on technical issues including software system design and maintenance and to communicate project statuses and proposals.
• Participate in testing, operations and maintenance activities as a member of the agile team.
• Apply best practices and standard operating procedures.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• While US Citizenship is NOT required for this position, all applicants MUST have lived and worked in the US for the last 24 consecutive months in order to pass the required government background investigation.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related degree.
• Proficient with Angular (version 2 or later, preferably with experience using Angular 8 or later).
• Proficient with HTML, JavaScript, CSS.
• Experience working with clients and business partners.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies.
• Experience developing backend code using Java/JEE is desired.
• Experience developing in AWS environments strongly preferred.
