Role: Sr. Java Developer with Kafka create consumer and producer streams.
Location: Remote
Duration: 12+ Months
Working with business partner
Requirements:
- 7+ years; Lead the design and development of microservices using Java
- 7+ technologies, such as Spring (including Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Batch) and Hibernate frameworks
- 5+ years; Should have significant hands on experience in the development
- 5+ of microservices and related DevOps process
- 5+ years; Experience with Docker container management years of CI/CD
- 5+ experience, including building and deploying and maintaining cloud
- 5+ micro services
- As far as Kafka goes, they are not required to setup Kafka, but rather use exiting Kafka infrastructure and create consumer and producer streams.
Description:
- The client is working on extracting stuff from USP.
- Someone with Cirrus experience would be great.
- We need Senior/Lead Java Engineer with microservices experience and not looking for an architect just so we are clear.
- They need to be hands-on with the Java coding, creating microservices framework, working with devops, and all that is an engineering function.
- As far as Kafka goes, they are not required to setup Kafka, but rather use exiting Kafka infrastructure and create consumer and producer streams.
- We will have inhouse talent to leverage or consult should there be a need to create Kafka Queues so long as this person can take instructions and perform the needed task.
Responsibilities:
- Develop microservices templates for rest of the team to use and enhance them as needed; mentor and guide them as needed Ability to trouble shoot and liaison with infrastructure team to ensure right tools and configurations are considered and rolled out Design and develop high-volume, low-latency Restful micro services for mission-critical systems with quality Making enhancements to various Java and Restful service APIs that meets business and auditing requirements
- Design and develop solution for the current project through cloudhosted Java Microservices/Kafka streams Hands on work with deliverables of java services, cloud solutions, data pipelines, Kafka streaming to implement solution Help create strategic direction for how to transform other components of the app using modern technologies (Kafka, services, Sql and NoSQL DB) Must have strong API development and distributed services experience Experience in either PCF or RedHat Open shift platform is highly desired Experienced in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) methodologies
