We are looking for a Senior Product Owner with expertise in subscription billing, payments, accounting systems and finance business processes to join our Business Technology (BizTech) team. As a systems product owner, one should know and have expertise in a SaaS billing, payments and accounting systems.
What you'll achieve
1. Design, architect and build the subscription billing, payments, tax and accounting systems
2. Establish trust and strong relationships with senior leaders, Ops teams, and other organizational units as it pertains to the finance business processes and systems.
3. Partner with the Finance and Accounting departments and be an advocate for their requests to drive business value and find ways to do it fast
4. Maintain tight collaboration with colleagues on the Salesforce and product teams to ensure end-to-end success of the Quote to Cash and Revenue Recognition processes
5. Collaborate with across company to smoothly launch new paid products through financial systems
6. Act as an owner and ultimate escalation point for the systems you build and maintain
7. Identify, evaluate and recommend other key technologies required to support and improve the business process centered on the billing platform and systems
8. Ensure the highest level of data accuracy and compliance in financial systems
9. Create accurate and clear technical documentation; develop support processes and procedures; and support hand-off to peers/organizational units
Responsibilities
1. You have 5+ years of experience in designing and building subscription billing and payments systems like Zuora, Stripe, Recurly, Adyen, etc in a SaaS environment
2. You have a good understanding and experience with Financial ERP systems like NetSuite or Oracle and their integrations with billing and payment platforms.
3. You understand the integration points and data flows from/to Salesforce that impact a Quote to Cash flow
4. You have effective technical skills to be proficient in SQL and data analysis
5. Knowledge of and experience with Quote to Cash and Revenue Recognition business processes
6. A positive growth mindset. Self-aware with a strong desire to learn and continuously improve. We're looking for lifelong learners
7. Capable of decomposing a big vision into bite-size milestones and be agile in execution to create faster value
8. Take ownership of communicating to systems support to resolve system issues
9. Effective influencer and communicator across teams and at all levels
10. Excellent decision-making and organizational skills with emphasis on detail and follow-up skills
11. Preferably a BS/BA degree in Information Systems or Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
12. Proactive and self-motivated approach to work tasks
Additional requirements:
1. Support cross-functional system implementation efforts end to end.
2. Set expectations around technical feasibility of requested features and functionality, and partner to provide training and technical support as needed.
3. Drive continuous improvement of Quote to Cash tech stack by identifying and remediating tech debt and recommending feature enhancements with consideration for business goals and ROI.
4. Support technical systems documentation and communication about tool maintenance, upgrades, stability, and security.
5. Review functionality delivered in technology releases and integrated tooling and partner with stakeholders to assess business impacts and opportunities for enhancements.
6. Consult on how to enable key business initiatives through new or existing functionality.
7. Partner with IT Security, Governance, Risk & Compliance teams to drive stability, reliability, and compliance of Quote to Cash systems.
8. Drive efficient and effective change management and quality assurance processes, ensuring adherence to enterprise security and compliance standards.
