Job Description
• 7+ years of web development experience; including programming and developing web applications [Java/J2EE, JSP, Servlet, Javascript, Jquery, Ajax, Bootstrap, Kendo UI, REST, JSON]
• 7+ years of Web Services and UI experience
• 3+ years of experience with Cassandra, Solr, Datastax Enterprise, DSE Search
• 3+ years of experience in relational databases (such as Oracle, MS SQL or MySQL)
• 2+ years of Kafka experience
• 2+ years of Splunk experience
• Understanding of both Windows and Linux
• Familiarity with Performance and Capacity metrics as both a user and in operations
• Experience in scripting charts and visualizations of analytic results
• Experience in Data Science/Analytics, Statistics, ETL, Data Modeling
• Experience in big data applications a serious plus
• Understanding of Agile methodology
• Must be comfortable and like to “play” with new technologies for proofs of concepts
• Python (especially) and/or R experience a plus
• Operational experience in any high availability environment is always welcome
