Centraprise has an opportunity available for a Sr. Storage Engineer to support our client  AJG located in Chicago, Illinois.

Position: Sr. Storage Engineer

Location: Chicago, Illinois

Duration: 6 months

Job Duties:

10+ years storage domain experience in complex data center deployments
Specific knowledge and expertise in current NetApp, HDS and Cisco MDS storage technologies
Understands Windows OS, VMware and SQL Database storage needs
Utilizes industry and OEM best practices for the installation and configuration of storage systems
Possess technical acumen to understand data center migrations from a storage perspective regarding planning, setup, migration and documentation requirements for large enterprise organizations.
Job Specific Description

Supporting the AJG Storage Team with the installation (connecting and starting up) and configuration of the new storage environment at the AJG data center
Supporting the AJG Storage Team with de-installation (shutdown and disconnection) of legacy storage devices at the AJG data center
Work with AJG Storage Team and divisional IT teams in planning and preparing for storage migrations related to the infrastructure services and application migrations
Support the AJG Storage Team in performing storage migrations from HDS to NetApp at the AJG data center as defined in the infrastructure services and application migration plans
Support the AJG Storage Team in creating/updating documentation for storage environment changes in the AJG data center
