Job Description:
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to think outside the box
- Ability to learn new patterns and practices with rapid prototyping
- Ability to apply systems thinking and to approach problems holistically
- Ability to produce high-level architecture/design and work on low-level hands-on implementation
- Good understanding of and appreciation for evolutionary architecture
- Ability to interact with several teams and business units to understand business requirements and to provide supporting architectural foundations
- Experience with leading and influencing teams of engineers
- Deep understanding of CI/CD and DevOps principles/practices/culture; and practical experience implementing them across many technologies and teams
- Good understanding of cloud native architecture, and deep experience with cloud native practices and technologies
- Sound expertise in Linux kernel concepts, container runtimes, and Kubernetes architecture
- Good understanding of service mesh architecture with hands-on implementation experience
- Good understanding of REST APIs and sound experience with designing APIs
- Expertise in various programming languages, with proficiency in object-oriented languages
- Extensive experience with DevOps in the cloud and on-premise
- Good understanding of different cloud providers and their services
- Experience with migrating systems to the cloud (nice to have)
- Good understanding of event-driven architecture (with hands-on experience with Kafka (nice to have))
- Would prefer the candidate to be a hands-on architect
