Job Title: Payroll Analyst Payroll Analyst
Location: Washington,DC 
Duration: Contract to Hire

Minimum 7 years of experience required

 
Performs a variety of financial and management tasks including but not limited to:
• Assist payroll manager with various payroll duties to include generating bi-weekly payroll.
• Ensure that employees are accurately paid in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) all applicable laws, the facility’s policy “Authorizing Work for Nonexempt Employees”, Meal Breaks and other relevant policies.
• Coordinate department audits of timekeeping records to ensure compliance with Wage and Hour Laws and hospitals policies.
• Responsible for administering garnishments including responding to inquiries.
• Perform a variety of service and administrative tasks that are shareable by all so that the needs of the customer and fellow team members are met in a timely manner.
• Responsible for performing timekeeping duties in the timekeeping payroll system for assigned departments.
• Uploaded Kronos time punch detail into Lawson to be process for payroll.
• Enter On/Call pay, Bonuses, PTO, ASSLA and ELB into Kronos time system.
• Perform an internal Audit on Kronos time edits on 3,000+ employees bi-weekly of the staffing special entries.
• Setup new employees and contractor in Kronos and reset passwords
• Enter Employee Pay Rules, pay codes in the Kronos time keeping system.
• Setup Holiday schedule, Create comments, Configure clocks for the Kronos system
• Assist with processing payroll bi-weekly payroll run from beginning to end for 3,000+ employees.
• Backup to the Payroll Manager (a two person payroll department)
• Pay 3rd party Contract doctor’s for our MFA partners.
• Run Reports in Lawson for payroll processing (PR14, PR136, PR134, Time Post, Pre-Post many more).
• Calculate and process Final paychecks, Payroll Corrections, Retro pay, Bonuses, PTO Leave payouts, Process Off cycle checks and all special pays.
• Reconcile the PR530 Lawson Reconciliation payroll report bi-weekly.
• Contact person for payroll questions
• Process SmarTrip(Metro) refunds monthly, audit, add and delete new employees in the Smart trip system.
• Train the Staffing Specialist and monitor and review their bi-weekly entries in Kronos.
• Prepare the Bi-weekly Meal Break and Alert report
• Backup for processing the Gift Shop payments.
• Process and monitor 1,500+ employee’s time punch details and Enter corrections for missed time punches in the Kronos system. The eight staffing special monitor the other 1,500+ employee punches
• Assist with bi-weekly SOX audit report for the director of Finance.
• Assist the Director of Finance and Payroll Manager with excel spreadsheet and reports as needed.
• Process monthly accruals and Cash receipts for the Accounting Manager.
• Process monthly contract directorship payments of (USD)3 million in a timely manner
• Review and understand the terms of the contracts.
