Role: CFD Engineer
Location: Greenville, SC
Duration: Long Term
Job Description:
. Carry out heat transfer analysis and advanced cooling design for heavy duty gas turbine stationary and rotating air foils.
. Perform thermal analysis using customer's suite of in-house tools, CFD, and Ansys in accordance with established design practices.
. Support installed fleet by addressing product cost out (PCO) and root cause analysis (RCA).
. Document and report results to component owners and leadership
Skill Set / Qualifications
. Knowledgeable in Gas Turbine Heat Transfer and design
. Experienced user of flow network solvers like Flow Simulator
. Experienced user of customer's in-house suite of tools for HGP design, such as Gas HTC and CalideNg
. Experienced user of Ansys
. Experienced user of CFD such as Ansys-CFX and Fluent
. Experienced user of UG CAD modelling software
. Experienced user of Altair Hyper model products
