Job Overview
The job is to provide support to the business for the daily activities around PeopleSoft financial applications and is responsible for managing enhancements from the request stage through development and to release in Production.
Job Duties in Detail
� Support the PeopleSoft modules as noted in the module inventory mentioned below in required Skills.
� Work with Client team to manage the capacity, and resolve application break/fix incidents per expected Service Level Agreements (SLA).
� Liaise and coordinate scheduled activities with Client PeopleSoft product manager and business teams and end users.
� Support all internal and external interfaces that provide or pull PeopleSoft data.
� Support Batch Job processes: Cognizant resource will be included in the notification of batch job status and if requested by the Client, Cognizant resource will work with the Client and their third-party PeopleSoft hosting company to resolve the issues.
� Schedule and support Daily and Weekly scheduled queries: Cognizant resource will store the results of the daily and weekly queries to a shared drive and resolve any issues associated with these PeopleSoft queries.
� Create tickets in the Client ticketing system to record Production issues not related to batch job failures.
� Support manual jobs and processes run by Client end users.
� Support ad hoc data related requests from business when received via the agreed upon process. Any such request must be reviewed with the Client team before resolving and applying the fix.
� Perform required testing related to Monthly Windows/ Linux/ Security patches.
� Perform required testing related to any PeopleSoft bundle applications or Tool's upgrade focusing on Client customizations and integration between modules.
� Support finance team with annual 1099 testing and processing.
� Conduct user training if needed in coordination with Client team.
� Support existing nVision reports.
� Provide PeopleSoft data extracts as requested by Client Team to support audit requests and other 3rd Client-contracted vendor requests.
� Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) exercise along with Client Team. Cognizant resource will only responsible for testing of PeopleSoft functionalities during this exercise. Cognizant resource will not provide expertise related to design and execution of DR plan.
� Notify Client Team in case of any FTP failures for various file transmissions as per email notification. Client Team will work with the appropriate resources to resolve issue.
� Support the Client third party PeopleSoft hosting vendor in testing sample processes after any process scheduler, server, or datacenter issues are resolved.
� Create knowledge base documents by PeopleSoft module on core Client use, and review with the Client team.
Required Skills
� Strong background with People Tools 8.5x or higher, SQR, BI Publisher and nVision reports.
� Should have work experience in supporting PeopleSoft financials modules - General Ledger, eProcurement, Purchasing, Accounts Payables, Asset Management, Billing and Accounts Receivables.
� Strong SQL knowledge to build data extraction scripts for Conversion and Audit.
� Ability to work in a diverse, fast paced environment and effectively collaborate across teams.
� Strong verbal and written communication skills.
