Full Stack Java developer
NYC, NY ( will need to sit onsite after COVID)
Contract - 12 months+
Description:
- We have an exciting opportunity within our global Equity Structured Products Trading development team for a junior to mid-level Java developer
- This is a hands-on role that will enable the successful candidate to play a pivotal part in the build-out of our strategic platform for the lifecycle management of exotic equity derivatives
- Working in an Agile environment with our users across Sales, Trading, Operations, and Finance to implement innovative business ideas and increase business efficiency
- Involvement in the full development lifecycle of the project to ensure we iteratively deliver value to our stakeholders
- Engaging with other developers and technologists globally to drive both the platform's resiliency and scalability
- Providing 3rd line support when necessary
Requirements:
- The candidate should have experience with design and development and Java 8+
- An aptitude for understanding complex enterprise-scale systems and good problem-solving abilities
- A keen interest in the latest development tools and enthusiasm for both technology and the business domain is required
- Experience with HTML 5.0 and Angular is a plus
- In-depth knowledge and solid commercial experience of Java
- 8+ years of experience in automated testing and continuous integration platforms
- Good architectural knowledge, and experience working with frameworks and distributed environments
- Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no Corp-to-Corp)
Desired Skills:
- HTML5 technologies, Angular, Typescript, JavaScript
- Scala
- Python experience
- Experience in sales and trading platforms or middle office trade processing systems inequities/FX/fixed income/derivatives domain
