Long Term Contract
Job Duties
. Participate in inception and iteration planning meetings, infusing backlogs with technical input working in close partnership with the product owner and product engineering manager
. Lead and participates in daily site, cross-site, and product team standups
. Lead and participates in retrospectives; demonstrating and encouraging each participant to provide feedback with empathy
. Partner in collaboration and strategy alignment across product portfolios (cross-product) in partnership with product managers, other peers and key stakeholders with the customer needs and wants in mind
. Serve as an expert on one or more business domains and a lead advocate of one or more technology stacks; share that knowledge across organizations
. Participate in shaping the architecture and design of the products we build; actively help the team in choosing the right technology, and solving technical problems
. Coach the team in writing software and building products
. Establish continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines and practices
. Lead and participate in knowledge sharing, and contribute to the overall growth of the collective knowledge of the engineering community.
Preferred Qualifications
Education
A college degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or similar field, including a solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals. Any Full-stack bootcamp experience will also be considered.
Technical
. 5+ years of experience developing software in different programming languages, and demonstrated ability to quickly learn new languages
. Proficiency with Java, JavaScript, React.js, Spring, and SQL
. Proficiency with Test Driven Development
. Proficiency developing/consuming REST APIs including tooling for documentation (Java, Spring Boot, Postman)
. Proficiency in multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
� Proficiency with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB). MongoDB is preferred.
� Experience developing continuous integration, continuous delivery and continuous deployment pipelines for distributed apps (including use of Jenkins, Artifactory, Gradle)
� Experience on approaches and tools for automated testing and monitoring
Overall
. 5+ years of developing and implementing systems at scale
. Strong verbal communication and collaboration skills
. Experience designing applications iteratively - you will not receive a full spec upfront and will need to feel comfortable thinking things through, filling in the blanks, and iterating across sprints as we receive feedback and pivot based on customer feedback
. Understanding of distributed systems, operating systems, networking, databases, security, and analytics
. Understanding of cloud services, deployment models, and distributed systems
