Java Full Stack Developer
Location: Chicago, Illinois
Responsibilities
· Expert in in Full Stack design technique as well as experience working across large environments with multiple operating systems/infrastructure for large-scale programs (e.g., Expert Engineers) starting to be firm-wide resources working on projects across
· Is multi-skilled with expertise across software development lifecycle and toolset
· May be recognized as a leader in Agile and cultivating teams working in Agile frameworks
· Sought out as coach for at least one technical skill
· Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test
· Driven Development, Cloud Development, resiliency, security
· Stays abreast of cutting edge technologies/trends and uses experience to influence application of those technologies/trends to support the business; may give speeches and outside the firm, writes articles
Qualifications
· BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
· Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
· Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
· Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
· Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
· Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
· Passionate about building an innovative culture
· Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages Java, Oracle, Spring Boot, Kafka, Kubernetes, Microservices
· Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement
· Asynchronous request handling and partial page updates
· Experience with modern web frameworks such as React and Angular10 etc.
· Solid understanding of responsive design
· Experience with web site optimization
· Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
· Knowledge of optimizing graphics for different platforms
· Component development
· Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (Git, BitBucket)
· Proven success working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
· Ability to manage multiple, on-going timelines, as well as ad-hoc "rush" requests
· Flexibility to adapt to changing design requirements

JOB: Core Java Software Developer
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Duration: 3-6 month contract with possibility of direct hire
Proficient in Core Java development skills as well as multiple design
techniques
§ Working proficiency in Core Java development toolset to
design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve
software
§ Strong understanding of Agile methodologies with
ability to work in at least one of the common
frameworks
§ Strong understanding of techniques such as
Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test
Driven Development, Cloud Development,
application resiliency and security
§ Proficiency in one or more general purpose
programming languages
§ Working proficiency in a portion of software
engineering disciplines and demonstrates
understanding of overall software skills including
business analysis, development, testing,
deployment, maintenance and improvement of
software
•3- 5+ years of hands on experience with Java
• 3+ years of hands on experience with Spark (is a plus)
• 3+ years of hands on experience implementing REST based services.
• 3+ years of hands on experience with Spring Framework 2.5 and above.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a developer in a data warehousing or other data oriented, batch processing environment
• 5+ years experience in analysis of data or complex processes and systems, demonstrating strong analytical skills.
• 5+ years using SQL
• hands on experience with relational databases such as Teradata, Oracle or DB2 (is a plus)
• Experience with Unix shell scripting (is a plus)
• Experience with AbInitio/Informatica (ETL Tools) is a plus
• Experience with a scheduling tool, especially Control-M, is a plus.
• Experience working in an Agile setting
• College degree or specialized training / equivalent work experience
