Title: QA Lead
Location: PST Time zone, Remote currently, later need to move to Anaheim, LA, but open for ET Time zone based on the candidate.
Pay Rate: $60/hr on c2c
Mandatory skills: Testing preferably on Opera PMS system
Job description:
- 10+ years of experience as a QA engineer
- Must work in Agile teams for 2+ years
- Must be able to show strong QA characteristics at all levels – Requirements gathering, test methodology, execution, release.
- Must have excellent communication skills, is comfortable reaching out across teams as needed for clarification, etc. (Candidate will need to represent QA in agile teams)
- Testing experience of the solutions leveraging cloud(AWS, Opera) and other cloud vendors preferred
- Shall mean an individual who is responsible for all testing activities for the project.
- Responsible for test planning, test strategizing, test estimation, test status, summary reporting and contributing to go/no-go decisions.
- Acts as a first point of contact for any testing related issues/queries.
- Responsible for review of deliverables from the team, interfacing with project stakeholders (development and business) in facilitating sign-off on all deliverables.
- Responsible for identifying test data, environment requirements and in coordinating with project stakeholders for timely availability of test data, environment and other test dependencies.
- Responsible for escalating issues or dependencies to client stakeholders.
- Proficient in ALM
- Track and trace all defects management cycle (from defects creation to closure)
- Own and drive each defect to closure, with urgency and responsibility, by putting each defect through re-test cycles and/or to engage up-/down-stream system owners to enable/facilitate test/re-test to close out all defects.
- Must be detail oriented
