Title: Power BI
Location: Remote/Redmond, WA
Pay Rate: $58/hr On C2C
Job description:
Must have Skills:
- Extensive hands-on experience in Power BI report/dashboard development
- Experience working with dataset ingestion, data model creation, reports, dashboards, KPIs, Power BI Pro features, workspaces, security, etc.
- Good experience in using DAX queries for different custom metrics & dimension creation
- Experience in using Power Queries (M) for building/updating existing datasets
- Strong experience in writing Sql queries for data set creation, data validation & POCs for new datasets
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including Power Query, Power Pivot, connections to external data sources, REST APIs, pivot tables, charts, and slicers
- Deep understanding of security as it pertains to data access, scope, and distribution of reports and dashboards
- Experience in mentoring/training/coaching others in technical concepts
Nice to have Skills:
- Experience with using Kusto streams or any relational DB like SQL Server as source
- Familiarity with Azure Table storage
- Familiarity with R language/statistical analysis
- SSAS and SSIS experience
- Experience in building data marts
- Experience working with a variety of stakeholders, from managers to technical resources, to include the translation of business requirements into operational measures and reports
- Agile/Scrum project experience nice to have
Roles & Responsibilities:
- The Power BI Developer will
- have extensive hands-on experience in Power BI, including but not limited to data set ingestion and transformation
- Create different metrices using DAX queries, Power Queries (M)
- do report development using the most appropriate report templates for a given data set,
- build dashboards that bring together key performance and operational data for an enterprise.
- assist in the creation of a secure framework for how data, reports, and dashboards are managed.
- participate in the creation of technical and functional guidance documentation
- provide presentations and training for technical staff and power users
