Title: AS400 Consultant
Location: Framingham, MA
Pay Rate: $58/hr on C2C
Mandatory skills: AS400, RPG400, RPGLE, SQL, DB2400, ILE
Job description:
- Candidate should have strong AS400 (RPG400/RPGLE/SQL/DB2400) development experience on enterprise level applications (experience with Retail Domain applications is a plus)
- Expertise with ILE Concepts/Implementer, service programs, commitment control, journaling, interactive & batch debugging
- Excellent knowledge of ways of working in Agile/Jira & Retail domain
- Prior experience leading development team is must
- Must have experience working in onshore/offshore delivery model, single point of contact for iSeries development team
- Ability to develop functional requirements and technical design documents
- Review code based on technical specifications and mentor, guide fellow team members
- Should be able to independently develop/analyze the program execute units and provide solutions.
- Ability to provide effort estimations and experience working in a team environment within an agile development process
- Proven experience in driving UATs singlehandedly with business users
- Ability to follow coding and development standards and produce structured code and documentation
- Ability to relate well with business users and work with cross functional teams
- Attention to detail is essential and all tasks must be carried out to the highest standard.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment against tight deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter that will take ownership of assignments and drive to completion with minimal supervision
- Good oral and written communication skills along with excellent interpersonal skills
- Interest in new technologies and willingness to learn and work in support project
