� As the Client migrates and expands into Azure and DNANexus, significant gaps in cloud engineering skills and resource availability have been exposed. We require an individual who can focus on the development and implementation of Azure cloud resources in support of the GA4K project and other CMRI initiatives
� The Cloud Engineer role will provide expertise and technical ability within the Azure cloud space. They will work closely with Stakeholders, CMRI technical staff, Client technical staff and their counterparts within Information Systems to design, deploy and manage Azure cloud-based resources in alignment with Research Informatics and Information Systems standards.
� Common duties and responsibility for this role will include, but will not be limited to:
� Development and documentation of high-level and low-level designs for cloud resources based on stakeholder input and business requirements
� Development of deployment and configuration automation scripts for Azure resources using technologies including TerraForm and Ansible
� Deployment and testing/troubleshooting issues of cloud resources, assistance designing and deploying Docker based images to be run within Azure (AKS & ACI)
� Qualified individuals will have a blend of Cloud Architect and Cloud Engineer skillsets, able to both design moderately complex Azure based systems and to deploy them.
� A candidate for this position should have advanced experience and knowledge of IT operations, including networking, virtualization, identity, security, business continuity, disaster recovery, data platform, budgeting, and governance-this role should manage how decisions in each area affect an overall solution
� In addition, this role should have expert-level skills in Azure administration and have experience with Azure development and DevOps processes.
� This role will be expected to provide expert-level technical abilities for both "Infrastructure as a Service" and "Platform as a Service" resources within Azure. Experience with emerging Azure technologies including AKS, HPC Cache, Azure Batch and CycleCloud is highly desired, as is expertise in data management
� This individual should have completed, or be near to completing, the Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification
