JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Title: Java Application Developer (Mid-Level)
Location: Bloomfield, CT / Remote
Duration: 8-12 Months - Contract on W2
Client: Direct Healthcare Company
Number of positions: 6
The Application Developer is a position that closely aligned to the design, development, and implementation of Supplemental Health Solution products that interface with complex enterprise systems and external vendor systems. Works in a Scaled Agile Framework as an application developer and team contributor. Strong experience in troubleshooting performance issues of applications, working with respective teams to fix critical issues and make sure applications are within performance compliance and meeting NFRs. The ideal candidate must be a highly motivated, well-rounded, self-starter that works best in a collaborative, dynamic, agile environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are also essential as this position will interface with remote scrum teams, business owners, enterprise architects, security, infrastructure, and end users via email, phone, IM, desktop sharing etc.
***Remote must work EST Time Zone***
Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in Integrating with different Enterprise Applications.
- Skillset is JAVA, PL/SQL, Oracle, jUNIT, Selenium, -- Python and Azure are a plus
- Development experience using Java, Maven, GitHub, Jenkin, uDeploy.
- Experience in developing and integrating with web services-based applications with SOA (Web Services, WSDL, SOAP, REST) in J2EE implementations
- Extensive Experience in Oracle DB development must be proficient in writing complex PL/SQL, SQL Queries, Stored Procs, Functions etc.…
Education:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communication to technical, business, and management audiences
- Familiar with Agile / Scrum methodologies and tools such as Rally, Jira Align, etc.
- Experience in breaking down Features into User Stories and Tasks for development
- Actively participate in scrum ceremonies - planning, estimation, demos, and retrospectives. Collaborate with other team members and architects to ensure solutions are in-line with best practices
- Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Individual contributor role, must have an experience as a team lead
