Hadoop Data Architect

Responsibilities: This is a very advanced skill set combining everything from architecture through engineering, to coaching developers.
• Experienced in Architecting and doing Detailed Design of big data solutions leveraging Hadoop
• Expertise in metadata management, ETL processing, reference data management. Expertise in streaming and batching data processing and efficient and performing organization of data in devices set of data platforms.
• Deep knowledge and hands on experience on big data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, Hive, HBase, Solr, Oozie, etc.
• Ability to teach / contribute knowledge to team through knowledge sharing / training sessions to raise team collective knowledge of Hadoop and component interactions
• Ability to integrate multiple Hadoop components into a performant, scalable, and sustainable solution that meets customer needs.
• Extensive hands on design/coding experience/skills using languages like Scala, Python, Java, or C#/C++/C#. Strong developer focused on writing elegant coding, can write very solid prototypes or core components quickly.
• Outstanding verbal, written, presentation, and interaction skills, including ability to effectively communicate architectural issues and concepts to multiple organization levels and executive management, and work with customers directly to understand business requirements and translate them into a detailed technical solution design.
• Ability to contribute to complex problem solving / troubleshooting / root cause activities where deep technical knowledge of Hadoop and solutions built on Hadoop is needed to solve problems.
• Experience on data application/platform instrumentation, measurement, log data processing, and monitoring.
