Role: Full Stack Engineer – W2 Only
Location: Carlsbad, California 92008
Duration 12+ Month with Possible Extension
Job Description: Our mission is to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. We help our customers accelerate life sciences research, solve complex analytical challenges, improve patient diagnostics, deliver medicines to market and increase laboratory productivity.
This software development group is made up of 2 Scrum teams, one in Carlsbad and the other located in Tijuana. They are focused on supporting an Identity and Access Management initiative across their B2B and B2C eCommerce platforms, as well as Supply Chain. These are highly complex systems with challenging factors when implementing features such as user authentication, Single Sign-On (SSO) / Single Log-Off (SLO), Federated Identity, application registration, etc. The team operates in an Agile/Scrum methodology and this role will be expected to participate in ceremonies, backlog grooming, setting priorities, collaborating in architecture design, using Jira, and other related activities.
Requirements
- Must have Java 8 development experience
- Must have professional experience with AWS (S3, SQS, SNS, Cognito, CloudFront, EC2, etc.)
- Must have full stack experience, including REST and JavaScript (Angular preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in object-oriented application design, software development, and testing, preferably in an Agile environment
- Familiarity with Git or other source control systems
- Experience with developing command line tools for Linux, and/or macOS.
- Experience with SAML/OAUTH/OIDC protocols
- Experience with authentication and authorization flows through Identity and Access Management Systems
- Experience with high availability architecture of web services and databases
- Federated identity
- Experience with CICD pipeline and how to integrate each component in that pipeline
- Domain Driven Development, Test Driven Development
- Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
- Build out unit tests and other automated tests
- Maven, Hibernate, Seleniu.
- Creative thinker and strong problem solver with meticulous attention to detail
- Experience with continuous integration tools (Jenkins) a plus
- Experience with automated build and test frameworks a plus
