Position Description:
This is a pivotal role to assist in the development and transformation of systems leveraging an Automation / DevOps model. Areas of work will include the development of automation, monitoring (alerting/logging), deployment and managing the Kafka & AKS infrastructure , continuous integration and working closely with our Infrastructure teams and business partners.
You should also have a proactive approach to identify problems before they happen and implement solutions that detect and prevent outage.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- Advanced knowledge and experience of Azure Cloud.
- Demonstrated experience with automation and DevOps concepts and implementation
- Be tech savvy with deep knowledge of Kubernetes, Microservices, Python, Ansible, Terraform and CI/CD process.
- Supporting Kubernetes/AKS clusters and deploying CI-CD pipelines
- Maintaining existing CI-CD pipelines and managing the Kubernetes/AKS Infrastructure and keeping it operational at all times.
- Make recommendations, provide documentation, and establish methodologies/protocols for on-going operational support and maintenance and upgrades of Kubernetes platform, microservices architecture, and Azure.
- Experience with Kafka StreamSets and managing them.
- Knowledge of Configuration management software – Terraform and Ansible.
- Write Terraform playbooks to provision the Cloud infrastructure components
- Ability to work with Security tools and best practices: OS Hardering, vulnerability Scanning, System auditing.
- Must be proficient in one or more scripting languages (Bash, Python, Ruby, PowerShell) and with SDLC tools (Azure Dev Ops, TFS Octopus, Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.)
- Experienced in using Git and TFS and other source code repositories.
- Demonstrated capability around operating cloud applications and using associated tools (Terraform, Splunk)
- Firm understanding of Azure network constructs and Identity/Access Management
- Working with Loadbalancing technologies like F5 – BigIP and networking concepts.
- Handling multiple projects at a same time and ability to handle production down situations effectively and should be able to participate in On-call support.
- Help streamline application release pipeline and release management
- Resolve production problems, investigate technologies and make recommendations to the team
- Investigate reported issues to determine the root cause
- Knowledge of Server Operating systems with an emphasis on Microsoft and Linux
- Familiar with ITSM and ITIL methodology
- Microsoft Azure Administrator, DevOps Engineer, or AWS DevOps Engineer professional certification is highly preferred
