Java Tech Lead (Delivery Manager)
San Francisco Bay area, CA.
What you do-
§ Authors, reviews, and approves technical designs
§ Mastery of domain programming language
§ Engineers extensible solutions with the team in mind and can fix complex bugs
§ Reviews code to ensure it is functionally correct and consistent with the technical
§ design
§ Accountable for domain dependencies and critical paths
§ Accountable for complex stories and integration or business requirements
§ Accountable for domain dependencies and critical paths
§ Anticipates risks and provides contingency solutions and timelines
§ Defines useful metrics and targets for domain
§ Measurably improves processes and best practices to achieve goals
§ Innovates measurable improvements
§ Stabilizes emerging technologies
§ Achieves team consent and buy-in
§ Interacts with business users, and/or functional peer group and managers
§ Sphere of influence is scrum or project development team
§ Actively shares through peer mentoring, shared resources and informal teachings Teaches and mentors within team

What you know-
§ 12+ years of Software Development experience with 3+ years as Technical Manager or Technical Lead
§ Experience with micro-services architecture, design patterns, and standard
§ methodologies with an eye towards scale, automation, resiliency, high availability,
§ and user experience.
§ Proficient in Java, JEE, Spring Stack
§ Proficient in Java-Micro Services – Java 8/9, Spring Boot, some messaging
§ background.
§ Deep understanding & experience in Java, design concepts, patterns, and coding
§ standards
§ Experience with WCM (Web Content Management) / ECM (Enterprise Content
§ Management)/ AEM (Adobe Experience Manager).
§ Strong background in creating secure cloud architectures for customer facing applications that are enterprise grade and highly scalable.
§ Passionate to understand complex data sets and help the team to build insights that
§ drives business decisions
§ Proficient in using Agile methodologies with a strong mindset to break-down complex requirements into milestones, features and user stories and focus on delivering MVP.
§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audience
§ Manage business expectations, set realistic goals with stakeholders and deliver them
§ Strong leadership skills to motivate and rally the team
§ Effective collaboration skills in building partnerships with Product Owners, SME's,
§ Senior Leaders, Program Managers, Architects, and other Technology Leads
§ Retail domain experience a big plus
Education –
§ 4-year degree (Computer Science, Information Systems or relational functional field) and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience.
