Job Description - PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Client is looking for a Software Engineer who will apply technical skills to maintain or enhance systems, methods, products, or techniques. This position works with build managers, architecture domains and IT disciplines as part of the Corporate Systems build team. This position is a critically important technical resource deployed within the context of business technology solution delivery projects to ensure overall stability and performance of our world-class applications.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
A Software Engineer at Client is expected to be fully conversant with complex software development concepts and methodologies and current development languages and methods. Specifically, this position develops, tests, debugs, and documents application systems to achieve the objectives detailed in the business requirements. Leveraging strong technical expertise and analytical skills, the Associate Software Engineer works closely with Build Managers, Solution and Platform Architects and cross-functional teams to use technical skill and judgment to develop solutions that meet business requirements for Client Worldwide applications and platforms.
The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:
• Ability to advise and contribute to the creation of technical specifications and product design to perform development tasks
• Work independently without significant oversite to follow requirements and develop solutions that help meet the 'definition of done' for a particular User Story or break/fix
• Codes/configures quality technology solutions that require limited rework and meet business / end-user needs by adhering to best practices defined by build mangers, solution and platform architects
MUST HAVE TECHNICAL SKILLS
• Experience in Automating business processes using Blue Prism
• Experience in various methods of Robotic process automation
• Performs thorough unit testing of solutions developed
• Provides production support by troubleshooting Incidents/Problems and participates in continuous improvement efforts
• Delivers maintenance and enhancements for existing software or packaged applications
• Adheres to coding standards / procedures and participates in code reviews
• Ensures that all solution development is aligned to architectural standards throughout the Agile development process
• Assists Tester in designing and ensuring overall integrity of the test plan
• Agile software development and relevant processes
• Applying software development knowledge to the current IT environment
• Agile problem solving techniques and decision making principles
• Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree
• Minimum Years of Experience: 5
• Minimum Years of Experience in Blue prism: 2
• Additional Requirements (i.e. % of travel time, etc.): 5%
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Blue Prism Certification is preferred
