Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Java/Cloud Engineer for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Financial clients in New York, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Technical delivery related to Repo, Collateral & Margin platforms for Business initiatives and Front to Back Programs
- Formulate and execute strategy to mitigate/ eliminate end of life technical stack (Components and Dependencies)
- Consolidate & standardize technical components supporting business processes (e.g. Margin Issuance, Disputes, Settlements)
- Senior Developer with a strong focus on delivery Impact analysis, Design, Hands on development, and implementation
Required Skills:
- Exposure to various design patterns, best practices and problem solving skills
- Performance tuning
- Strong controls/compliance culture
- Must have skills
- Java 8
- EJB architecture
- Deep understanding of RMI, Object serialization and storage, inter process communication, Java internals and low level programming
- Weblogic / Websphere experience
- Spring framework
- Eclipselink/Any ORM technology
- EXT JS 4.1.3
- Oracle/RDBMS
- Linux
- Agile Development
- Analyze in-house systems for potential migration to the cloud prior working experience with AWS, Azure or Cloudera/Databricks is required.
- Develop cloud-ready and/or cloud based services micro services architecture, resource sharing, distributed computing and data management, lambda programming
- Expert knowledge in Big data systems and building cloud based distributed architectures
- Expert knowledge of container management platforms like Kubernetes and Docker
- Working knowledge of setting up subnets in AWS or Azure and independently own CI/CD for cloud is highly desirable.
