Role: Linux Engineer
Location : Marlborough, MA
Duration : Long Term Contract
Duties and Responsibilities:
Establishes Linux system by planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing, defining system and operational policies and procedures.• Maintains Linux system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, networks and operating and system management systems; designing and running Linux system load/stress testing.
• Secures Linux system by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; completing back-ups; maintaining documentation.
• The ability to use intelligence, scripting, and tools to manage change from development to testing to production environments.
• Responsible for working with CPE SI Infrastructure team maintaining all CPE infrastructure entities including logging, build and testing infrastructure.
• Linux Expertise, with solid System Administration skills
• Excellent with shell scripting (Python/ bash or equivalent)
• Excellent experience in Ansible automation
• Good verbal and written skills, along with outstanding customer service skills
• Understanding, resolving C/C++ linux build issues (makefiles, gcc / ld errors);
Technical Competencies:
• Java / C++, groovy knowledge is a plus
• CI tools / makefiles support
• Ansible
